About Wuwei-Tzu-jan

Wuwei means 'doing by doing nothing'.
Not easy to do...

'stijl'

The river knows when the river has to flow.
Automatically, spontaneously and without any effort.
Well then: Go with the flow,
don't push the river, it flows by itself.
This is Wuwei- Tzu-jan.

Wuwei is the most important concept in Taoism.
Wuwei is non-dual (nondual) action.
Wuwei is the attitude of being in tune (harmony) with Tao.

Some people think that lying down is better than walking.
But Wuwei involves knowing when to walk and when not.

"When to act and when not to act"
that's also the definition of harmony.

Just breathe

There is nothing so unuseless as doing efficiently
that which should not be done at all.

In Tai Chi Chuan do as little as possible; less is more.
Like water always trying to find the path of least resistance.
Like water trying to find out when to start and when to stop.

Your strength comes from your flexibility.

Tai Chi Classics Western classics: About time.

Time is the substance from which I am made.
Time is a river which carries me along,
but I am the river;
it is a tiger that divorce me,
but I am the tiger;
it is the fire that consumes me,
but I am the fire.

Jorge Louis Borges.
